Dr. Richard N. Kabuye. MBChB, MMed (Anesthesia), FWSPA.

 Senior Consultant Anesthesiologist with 10 years’ experience. He completed his surgical residency at Makerere University and had subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia at the University of Nairobi.  He specializes in surgical anesthesia and Intensive care medicine. His special interest is in pediatric anesthesia.

Dr. James Kayima.  MBChB, MMed (Internal Medicine), FSCAI, FCP (ECSA), PhD.

Consultant Cardiologist and Physician with 12 years’ experience. He completed his residence in internal medicine at Makerere University. He trained in cardiology at Yale School of Medicine and completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at University Hospitals, Case Western Medical Centre, Cleveland Ohio – USA. He specializes in both diagnostic and interventional Cardiology, with a special interest in cardiac failure, hypertension, cardiomyopathies, interventional management of ischemic heart disease and the use of devices to manage rhythm disorders and advanced heart failure.

Dr. Elias Sebatta. MBChB, MMed (Int. Med), FCP(ECSA), F. Cardiology.

Consultant Cardiologist and Physician with 18 years’ experience. He completed his residence in Internal Medicine at Makerere University. He attended a Fellowship in Cardiology at Uganda Heart Institute and Interventional Cardiology at Medanta Heart Institute – India. He practices both clinical and interventional cardiology in both public and private hospitals

Dr Gonzaga Gonza Kugonza BDS, M.DENT. OMFS

Consultant- Dental & Maxillofacial Surgery- 18 years’ experience

He is a graduate of Makerere University. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Makerere University.

Dr. Gonza performs complex dental and surgical procedures including facial reconstruction.

He has special interest in surgical management of facial tumors

Dr Julius Wambete, MBChB, M.Med [ENT Surgery], FCS [ECSA]

Consultant- ENT Surgery- 30 years’ experience

 Dr. Wambete completed his residency in Orthopedic surgery at Makerere University and has a fellowship training in minimal access spinal surgery. He is a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of East Central and Southern Africa.

Dr. Wambete is an expert in the management of diseases affecting the ear, nose, throat, head and neck including chronic sinusitis, tonsillitis, paranasal sinus disease, loss of smell, nasal breathing issues; and dizziness.

He has particular interest in reconstructive surgery and rhinoplasty, snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA)

Dr. Robert Kalyesubula.  MBChB, MMed, FCP (ECSA), FISN (Yale), PhD.

Consultant Nephrologist (Kidney Physician) with 12 years’ experience. He completed his internal medicine residency from Makerere University and Specialist Nephrology training from Yale School of Medicine. He specializes in management of kidney diseases and high blood pressure. His clinical interests are in hemodialysis, acute kidney diseases, home hemodialysis and post-transplant care of patients. He is President of Uganda Kidney Foundation and an adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at Yale School of Medicine - USA. 

Dr. Hussein Senyonjo. MBChB, MMed (Neurosurgery), FCS (ECSA)

Consultant Neurosurgeon with 13 years. He completed his neurosurgical training at Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Lübeck in Germany. He is also a Fellow of Neurosurgery of the College of Surgeons of East Central and Southern Africa. His clinical interests include the management of brain and spinal cord tumors, head injury, pediatric congenital neurosurgical anomalies, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, stroke and spine conditions. He is the current President of Association of Surgeons of Uganda.

Dr. Haruna Moses Mwanje. MBChB, MMed (Obs & Gyn), FCOG (ECSA), FMAS

Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist with 18 years’ experience. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Makerere University and trained in minimal access surgery at the World Laparoscopic Hospital - India. He is a Fellow of the East Central and Southern Africa College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He specializes in laparoscopic surgery for gynecological conditions. He also offers antenatal, delivery and postnatal care services; and prevention, wellness and cancer screening.

DR.KISEGERWA ENOCK. MBChB, MMed (Obs & Gyn).

Senior Consultant Obstetrician And Gynaecologist – 26 year experience.He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Makerere University. His tour of duty has been in different Regional Referral hospitals across the country including Mulago National Referral Hospital. He is also a National Trainer for the Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response.

Dr. Nobert Tholith Orwotho. MBChB, MMed (Orthopedic Surgery), FCS (ECSA)

Consultant Surgeon (Orthopedic & Spine Surgery) with 19 years’ experience. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Makerere University and has a fellowship training in minimal access spinal surgery. He is a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of East Central and Southern Africa. His spinal surgical practice focuses on adult minimally invasive spine surgery and treats patients with spinal stenosis, claudication, radiculopathy, and spondylolisthesis. His orthopedic surgery practice includes of the knee, shoulder and total hip joint replacement, and ankle/foot surgery.

DR EDMOND ODULL ODONGO, MBCHB, MMED (ORTHOPAEDICS)

He completed his residency in orthopaedics and trauma surgery at Makerere University. He is currently a pursing a Fellowship of the College of Surgeon - Orthopedic (ECSA). His surgical practice focuses on orthopaedic trauma and adult reconstruction surgery (knee and hip), with clinical interests in sports knee surgery and orthobiologics, minimally invasive surgery of the spine and musculoskeletal oncology

Dr. Patrick Kaliika. MBChB, MSc, MMed, MBA, FCP (ECSA), PGD (Endocrinology)

Specialist physician (Internal Medicine & Endocrinology) with 20 years’ experience. He completed his Internal Medicine residence at Uganda Martyrs’ University and subspecialty training in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of South Wales. His special interests lie in the care of patients with diabetes and other endocrinal disease due to hormonal imbalance. 

Dr. Phillip Kasirye-Gitta. MBChB, MMed (Pediatrics & Child Health), Fellow (Pead Haemato-Oncology).

Consultant Pediatrician and Haemato-oncologist with 15 years’ experience. He completed his pediatric residency at Makerere University and had subspecialty training in haemato-oncology at Makerere University. He specializes in care for children with special interest in blood disorders (especially sickle cells disease) and childhood cancers.He is the Lead Pediatrician at Platinum Medical Center

Dr Israel Luutu, MBChB, MMed (Radiology), FC Rad Onc (SA).

Consultant Radiologist (Clinical Oncology and Radiology) with 22 years’ experience. He completed his residency in radiology at Makerere University; and Fellowship training at the University of Witswatersrand, South Africa. He is a fellow of the South African College of Radio-Oncologists. He specializes in cancer care and diagnostic radiology.

She completed her surgical residence at Makerere University and fellowship training at The College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA). She specializes in breast and endocrine surgery with special interest in surgery of large goitres and adrenalectomy. She is a member of International Association of Endocrine Surgeons.

Dr. Jehosophat Jjombwe. MBChB, MMed (Surgery), FCS (ECSA).

Senior Consultant Surgeon (Colo-rectal Surgery) with 20 years’ experience. He completed his surgical residency from Makerere University. He specialized in surgical gastrointestinal and colorectal conditions. He is a past President of the Association of Surgeons of Uganda.  

Dr. John Sekabira. MBChB, MMed (Surgery), MMed (Pediatric Surgery), FCS (ECSA), FAAP.

Senior Consultant Surgeon (Pediatric Surgery) with 20 years’ experience. He completed his surgical residency from Makerere University and specialist pediatric surgery training from University of KwaZulu Natal-South Africa. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics He performs operations on neonates, infants and children. His special interest is in neonatal surgery and pediatric oncology. As Head of Pediatric Surgery in Mulago Hospital, he led the team that has separated 4 sets of conjoint twins and other complex surgeries

Dr. Dan Namuguzi. MBChB, MMed (Surgery), FCS (ECSA).

Consultant Urologist with 12 years’ experience. He completed his surgical residence at Makerere University and later fellowship training in Urology at the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa. He specializes in medical treatment and surgery for prostate and structural kidney urinary system (bladder/kidneys) diseases. His special interest is in structural kidney surgery and pyeloplasty (for pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction). His special interest is in the reduction of surgical disease burden in the Ugandan child his collaboration with Humanity Direct - Uganda
